Blog 10 – Use Your Church as a Kingdom Training Center

Acts 1:3 says, “To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.” (KJV)

Before His death, Jesus constantly taught his followers about the Kingdom of God. It is astounding to note He continued to do the same even after His death.

Luke 9:11 says, “And the people, when they knew it, followed him and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.” (KJV)

In His earthly lifetime, Jesus taught the principles of the Kingdom of God to individuals, small groups of disciples, and great crowds. He taught is everywhere He went. He trained His disciples to go and do likewise.

Yet, according to Acts 1:3, after His death, burial, and resurrection Jesus appeared to the disciples over a forty-day period and continued to speak of things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God includes everything. Not only does it include salvation and sound doctrine, but also the big picture of God’s plan for mankind for eternity. Healing, peace, miracles, love, joy, forgiveness, the Church, and a host of other things are under the umbrella of God’s Kingdom. The Church itself is simply the collective of individual believers on earth who have been born-again into the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, I challenge any of you who are pastors and church leaders to turn your local church into a Kingdom Training Center. Teach, train, and equip everyone to understand the Kingdom of God. Send forth everyone into their community to expand the Kingdom of God on earth.

You may use the videos in the Understanding the Kingdom of God Series on this site to do so. Show the videos, hold discussions, ask and answer questions, and little by little increase your Kingdom understanding. Use your Kingdom Training Center to equip and send forth laborers into the harvest. The fields are ready for a harvest!
