“Understanding the Kingdom of God” Lesson 34 – Plateaued Churches
Most churches tend to plateau at some point. However, this contradicts the Biblical pattern that the Kingdom must continually be expanded in the earth.
In this lesson, Dr. Fred Childs discusses three key things that must be done if a church is at a plateau.
Pastors must learn to love everybody but move with the movers. They must also know how to effectively handle care and control issues. This lesson touches those and other vital areas.
Breaking church growth barriers is difficult when one thinks in terms of traditional church leadership and structures. Therefore, we must learn to think from a Kingdom perspective. Kingdom thinkers do not think in the same limiting paradigms as non-Kingdom thinkers. This lesson highlights the stark differences between the two.
The Church is part of the Kingdom of God on earth, but it is not the Kingdom of God. If one focuses only on the church or the building, they will face many opportunities to plateau. Focusing on the Kingdom prevents plateaus.
