Blog 15 – Adorn the Gospel
The Gospel of the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ is His Gospel. It is the Good News. It should be presented in the spirit He would have presented it in.
Titus 2:10 tells us to, “adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.”
The Gospel is a beautiful message. It represents the glorious Kingdom of our resplendent God.
My late pastor stressed this constantly. He presented the gospel in such a lovely way. He made you want it. He inspired you to desire it.
When ministers and believers abuse our liberty and become harsh, calloused, attack other brethren, and so forth …such is not adorning. That is ugly.
Let your message and countenance draw people to the love of God.
If you choose to be unlikeable, you only hinder the Gospel.
Ephesians 4:32 say, “And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Whether it be in person, from a pulpit, or on an online post, your spirit will manifest itself. Bitterness, anger, hardness, and such are not of God. You can adorn the Gospel when you have allowed the Holy Spirit to cleanse the inside of you.
May God help each of us to adorn the Gospel.
